Gemyndeseld means, approximately, "Hall of Memory" in Old English.  To me, it connotes a place where stories are told and memories traded, to think on times, places, and friends who dwell in days gone by.

The previous incarnation of this site was developed as an online memorial for friends and relations who have passed on.  Another, long-planned but undeveloped website, was to be dedicated to the bardic memory of the Barony of Bryn Madoc and the larger Society for Creative Anachronism. 

In the recent redesign of the gemyndeseld domain, I have combined the two aims into one website: first, to remember those we've lost, and second, to collect and and set down the history of the Barony and those who have called it home.
